Starting a Restaurant or Bar Business: A Comprehensive Guide to Success
August 22, 2024Florida has so much to offer for entertainment and everyday excitement, but a lot of it can hit that wallet pretty hard. With so many low-cost activities available, it’s easy to find something to get you out of the house and into the Florida man life.
If you’re going to call yourself a Floridian, you need to know how to handle a rod and reel. This state has the obvious infamous saltwater gulf coast and Atlantic coast but let’s not leave out the interior fresh water holes. Fresh water rivers, lakes, ponds and canals pepper the entire interior of the state. There is one river you can catch a bull shark and bass in the same spot. With so many fishing options it’s important to keep up with your bait options also. Fishing can be challenging and calming at the same time. One minute you are yelling at the fish and the next you are appreciating the view.
If you tried fishing and decided you can’t handle sticking a hook through live shrimp or you don’t like mini vampires sucking every drop of blood from your body, then you just might be the type to enjoy a beach day. Grab that towel and hit the nearest beach, but don’t forget your sunscreen. Each beach offers a different and unique setting even though it’s connected to the same water. One beach could have snow white sand that stays cool to the touch with high rise buildings as a backdrop and another could be a half mile walk down a trail through dunes and Seagrape to find a partially rocky shoreline with shells and driftwood as natural decoration.
If neither fishing or the beach is your thing, I think you might have made a mistake moving here…Just kidding but we do have nature trails in our many state parks and forests. Tighten those laces and don’t forget your compass because our largest state forest is a whopping 1,058,000 acres. We have wildlife exclusive to only Florida, some you will be excited to see, and others might make you wish you went fishing.
It’s easy to get lost in the everyday hustle and bustle and forget you live in a beautiful state with seemingly endless adventurous possibilities. We are all guilty of being “too busy”. I for one am a habitual offender but don’t let the Florida life slip by, because it’s staring at you every day on the drive to work. Slow down and enjoy paradise. Don’t forget we live where the rest of the country vacations.
